A driver has been arrested after police say a vehicle struck another vehicle and then entered the patio area of Razorback Pizza in Maumelle Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Maumelle Police Department, officers responded to Razorback Pizza at 20608 Highway 365 at approximately 2:30 p.m. on September 30, 2026.
Police said the vehicle first struck another vehicle before entering the restaurant’s patio area.
No injuries were reported among patrons or employees inside the restaurant.
Police identified the driver of the at-fault vehicle as Michael Wrenn.
Wrenn was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Careless and Prohibited Driving, and Failure to Yield.
Police said Wrenn would be transported to the Pulaski County Jail.
The Maumelle Police Department said this marks the 2nd DWI-related crash into a business in the city within the past 3 days.
That follows the September 27 crash at the nearby Waffle House on Highway 365, where an employee was killed.
In its statement, the Maumelle Police Department strongly condemned impaired driving, saying driving while impaired is a preventable decision that puts innocent people at risk.
Police said the outcome of Wednesday’s crash could have been much worse despite no injuries being reported.
The department is urging anyone who has been drinking not to drive and instead use a designated driver, rideshare service or another safe way home.
The investigation into Wednesday’s crash remains ongoing.
