A man has been arrested in Arkansas after reportedly targeting a child victim.
Raymond Curtis Jordan, 59, was arrested by the Pope County Sheriff’s Department on April 2, 2025. He faces two counts of second-degree sexual assault, a Class B felony. However, the alleged victim’s name has been redacted after a request in the case to the court. But the incident(s) reportedly happened years ago. The investigation is ongoing. It’s not known who alleged the victim was or what the connection to the suspect is.
Disturbing Allegations Emerge In Pope County Case
Court documents state Jordan allegedly assaulted a minor under 18 sometime between 2017 and 2022.
The victim was named in an affidavit, leading prosecutors to request a protective order. However, the court was asked to redact the victim’s identity due to the case’s sensitive nature.
The judge over the case ordered a redaction, hiding it from public record, writing:
“Now on this date, upon Motion of the State of Arkansas… the Affidavit in the above styled cause is placed under seal and shall not be available in the public record.”
Each count against Jordan could result in 5 to 20 years in prison and fines up to $15,000. The charges stem from violations of Arkansas Code § 5-14-125.
Jordan is 47 a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, stands at 5’5” and weighs 217 lbs. This marks his second booking.
Filed on March 31, 2025, in Pope County Circuit Court, the case (58CR-25-164) awaits further action. A circuit judge has found probable cause for Jordan’s arrest warrant.
