The Cushman City Council will meet Monday, July 20, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with a full agenda that includes the swearing-in of a new council member, the appointment of an interim mayor, discussion of city projects, equipment purchases, and updates on upcoming community events.
One of the meeting’s most significant agenda items will be the swearing-in and appointment of Allen Cole as the newest member of the Cushman City Council. Council members are also scheduled to appoint an interim mayor, a decision expected to help guide the city through its current transition in leadership.
The meeting will begin with approval of the consent agenda, including the June meeting minutes, monthly bills, check register and financial reports.
Council members will also hear a report from Deputy Brian Hightower, while water system updates will be presented through the minutes of the Water Board meeting.
Several guests are expected to attend the meeting, including Dalton Robison, Sydney Franks, Stephanie Gunther, Laura Franks and Bryan Franks.

Discussion of new ideas for community events and an update on this year’s Miner’s Day celebration.
Purchase of new flag poles for the city’s conference room.
Discussion of options for purchasing weather radios.
Consideration of additional satellite capabilities for the local cell phone tower.
Discussion of replacing a street light with a flood light at the former fire station property.
Old Business
Council members will also revisit several ongoing projects, including:
Purchase of a new city mower.
An update regarding the city’s SAM.gov registration.
An update concerning the city’s email.gov transition.
