UPDATE FOUND SAFE:
The Searcy Police Department through their Facebook page is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman after 48-year-old Melissa Sterling was reported missing by her family.
According to police, Sterling was last known to be driving a gray Toyota Tacoma displaying Arkansas license plate BIY41B. Authorities said she was last seen wearing all black clothing.
Investigators are actively working to determine Sterling’s whereabouts and are encouraging anyone who may have seen her or her vehicle to come forward with information.
Police have not released additional details regarding when or where Sterling was last seen or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone who has seen Melissa Sterling, her vehicle, or has information that could assist investigators is urged to contact the Searcy Police Department immediately at 501-279-6241. Anyone with time-sensitive information or who believes they have located Sterling should call 911.
Law enforcement officials stress that even the smallest piece of information could prove valuable in helping locate her safely.
