Amid concerns about rising electric prices, Petit Jean Electric’s CEO sat down with the 25-year-old Mayor of Fairfield Bay for a 1-on-1 interview.
In the interview, Petit Jean Electric CEO Michael Kirkland spoke at length with Fairfield Bay Mayor Seth Connell. The talk was about why electric prices have gotten so high. Petit Jean’s CEO apologized for lack of communication regarding high prices of electricity and vowed to increase transparency.
Petit Jean Electric CEO Gives Interview With Mayor Of Fairfield Bay
Fairfield Bay City Hall reportedly got so many phone calls regarding high electric prices recently, that the Mayor of Fairfield Bay reached out to Petit Jean Electric to see why prices were so high.
Michael Kirkland responded to concerns, saying that there are 3 main reasons for price increases:
- A higher cost of transmission of electricity on power lines not owned by Petit Jean.
- Higher debt load (for things like new fiber optic lines).
- Higher kilowatt usage.
Michael Kirkland apologized for lack of communication about the electric price increases. He denied all allegations of criminal or wrongful activity.
