An “inside job” typically refers to a crime committed by someone with inside knowledge or access to the organization, often an employee or former employee.
A commercial burglary in Batesville, Arkansas has led to a sudden arrest in what appears to be an inside job.
Gary Lee Ernst, 55, of Pleasant Plains, was arrested for felony commercial burglary and theft after being caught on camera at The Lost Lamb Diner. The following information was provided to us by a local police report involving the crime.
Burglary Near Batesville Reportedly Caught On Camera
The incident occurred at The Lost Lamb Diner on Harrison St., where deputies responded to a burglary report on Dec. 30, last year.
Security footage revealed Ernst breaking in on Dec. 29 by removing an air conditioning unit panel.
Footage also showed him attempting to conceal his identity with clothing while inside the diner.
Items stolen included cash, checks, and security cameras.
Ernst, once employed at the diner, is now held on a $7,500 bond.
