, , Comments Off on Fairfield Bay Mayor Calls Urgent “Special Meeting” Once Again

Another meeting trying to renew an early lease contract for the Fairfield Bay campground.

The announcement was just made by The Lake Area Weekly that Mayor Jackie Sikes is calling yet another “special meeting” regarding a campground lease on October 9th.

Not The First Time

Mayor Jackie Sikes has called several other “special meetings” for the exact same issue several times to push for an early signing of a lease for the campground. The lease doesn’t expire until January, but Mayor Jackie continues to call special meetings over the issue to push for an early vote by the city council.

Note: a “special meeting” is convened by the mayor or other officials to tackle urgent matters that need prompt action. However, the campground lease doesn’t expire until next year.

This comes after one of the last city council meetings lasted a whopping 5 hours which focused on the exact same issue.

When And Where

The new meeting will happen on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the city hall.
