Organ Donor Project Underway In Searcy School District
The Searcy School District was honored at their August board meeting for their collaboration with the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency (ARORA). They received recognition for integrating “The Power of 8,” an educational tool promoting organ and tissue donation, into their curriculum.
Stacy Robinson, a specialist from ARORA, presented the plaque to Superintendent Dr. Bobby Hart and the board. The initiative, described as gaming-inspired, aims to educate high school students on the significance and process of donation.
This partnership underscores the district’s commitment to fostering life-saving education among its students. “The Power of 8” is designed to engage young learners through interactive methods, highlighting the impact of organ donation.
