The preliminary crash report indicates that police were called to Punch Lane in Batesville, Arkansas, around 10:45 p.m.
Marshal Reed, from Locust Grove, was riding his 2001 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound when he veered off the right side of the road and hit a ditch. The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn, ejecting Reed from the bike.
Reed was rushed to White River Health Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
At the time of the incident, the road conditions were reported as dry and clear.
