Taber Extrusions hosted a grand opening ceremony for its $85 million expansion in Russellville, Arkansas. The event highlighted the installation of the largest new direct extrusion press in North America. Representatives from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission attended, including executive director Clint O’Neal.
The expansion is expected to create 70 new jobs in the region. Dr. Megan Selman, CEO of the Russellville Chamber, noted the impact on aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, and heavy industry. The press will enhance the company’s capabilities in these sectors.
The project was first announced at the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2024, with Governor Sanders and state economic development officials present. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in April 2025. The new facility reflects ongoing investment in Russellville’s growing business environment.
Local leaders praised the milestone, calling it a major step for the River Valley’s future. The Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce issued a statement supporting the expansion. Details on the timeline for hiring the new positions have not yet been released.
