Residents of Morning Star were startled today as a sudden blaze lit up the early afternoon sky, drawing immediate attention from local emergency crews.
Morning Star Fire Department responded to a metal barn structure fire that produced heavy smoke, with no injuries reported. Multiple fire units, including Lake Hamilton Fire, Engine 8, Engine 1 and Rescue 6, as well as Pafford EMS and the Garland County Sheriff’s Office, were on scene to contain the blaze.
Structure Fire Engulfs Metal Barn
Morning Star Fire was dispatched at 12:34 pm on September 24, 2026 to a structure fire off Westinghouse Dr., according to the department’s report.
Firefighters arrived to find a metal barn-type structure with heavy smoke and active flames; there were no injuries.
Lake Hamilton Fire responded via automatic aid with an engine and personnel, while Engine 8, Engine 1 and Rescue 6 also joined the effort; Pafford EMS and the Garland County Sheriff’s Office were present on scene.
