The City of Beebe is celebrating America’s anniversary by encouraging residents to give shelter dogs a forever home through a special adoption promotion.
Mayor Mike Robertson has signed an executive order reducing the adoption fee for eligible dogs at the Beebe Animal Shelter to just $2.50 for approved applicants. The promotion is designed to celebrate the nation’s anniversary while helping more shelter animals find safe, loving homes.
In the executive order, city leaders say the initiative recognizes “the enduring spirit of the United States” while strengthening the community through responsible pet adoption.
The special adoption fee will remain in effect for 30 days from the date of the executive order. While the fee has been dramatically reduced, all prospective adopters must still complete the shelter’s standard application process and meet all adoption requirements. The promotional price does not waive any eligibility standards.
To encourage adoptions, the city has also scheduled two special Saturday adoption events at the Beebe Animal Shelter:
Saturday, July 18, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:50 p.m.
Saturday, July 25, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:50 p.m.
City officials encourage families to visit the shelter, meet the available dogs and consider adopting a new companion.
The Beebe Animal Shelter hopes the special promotion will give more dogs the opportunity to find permanent, loving homes while helping residents celebrate America’s anniversary in a meaningful way.
