The Friday night high school football game between Cabot and Little Rock Christian Academy was canceled after three separate medical emergencies occurred during the game at Panther Stadium.
The incidents happened Friday night, September 25, 2026, during Cabot High School’s Homecoming football game.
According to reports, the emergencies involved a student-athlete, an adult and a fan.
Medical personnel responded to the separate incidents, and school officials made the decision that the football game could not continue.
SCHOOL SAYS THOSE TRANSPORTED ARE ALERT AND RECEIVING CARE
Cabot Public Schools released an update Friday night saying that all individuals who were transported following the medical emergencies were alert and receiving care.
“Due to the circumstances tonight at Panther Stadium, we will not be able to continue the football game this evening,” the district stated.
School officials asked the community to keep those involved in their thoughts.
Cabot Public Schools did not immediately release additional information concerning the identities or specific medical conditions of those transported.
HOMECOMING DANCE AND POSTGAME ACTIVITIES POSTPONED
All postgame activities scheduled for Friday night were postponed, including the Cabot High School Homecoming Dance.
The district said additional details would be released as soon as they become available.
Officials also said information regarding the football game would be posted on the district’s website and social media channels.
Cabot Public Schools thanked those attending the game for their cooperation, patience and understanding during the emergency response.
The district also thanked Panther fans for their continued support of the school and community.
GAME STATUS REMAINS PENDING
Additional information regarding how the canceled game will be handled had not been announced Friday night.
Officials had not said whether the game would be resumed, rescheduled or handled under Arkansas Activities Association procedures.
