A Searcy man has died following a motorcycle crash Sunday evening, according to the Searcy Police Department.

Authorities identified the victim as 50-year-old Brian Hollis of Searcy.

Officers responded to a reported motorcycle crash in the area of Jawanda Lane and Indian Trail. According to a preliminary investigation, 2 motorcyclists were traveling together when both motorcycles left the roadway and crashed.

Hollis and the second rider, identified as 61-year-old Samuel J. Robinson of Judsonia, were transported to Unity Health for treatment.

Police say Hollis later succumbed to his injuries.

Robinson was subsequently transferred to UAMS in Little Rock, where he remains in critical but stable condition.

The Searcy Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Hollis becomes the latest traffic fatality reported in White County as authorities work to determine exactly what caused both motorcycles to leave the roadway.

The investigation remains ongoing.
