Arkansas TV has announced a major expansion of its locally produced programming lineup with several new and returning shows scheduled to premiere throughout July.

The statewide public television network says the new slate of programming will feature outdoor adventure, public affairs, health, history, education, wildlife, and culinary arts while highlighting the people, places, and issues that make Arkansas unique.

Arkansas TV Executive Director and CEO Carlton Wing said the network is returning to its local roots with a renewed focus on programs made for Arkansans by Arkansans.

Among the new programs is “Naturally Wild with Steve ‘Wild Man’ Wilson,” premiering July 2 at 6 p.m. The series follows longtime Arkansas conservationist Steve Wilson as he explores outdoor recreation, wildlife, sportsmanship, and outdoor cooking throughout The Natural State.

The “Arkansas Wildlife Podcast,” presented by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, will also premiere July 2 at 6:30 p.m., featuring host Trey Reid discussing conservation efforts, hunting, fishing, wildlife management, and outdoor opportunities across Arkansas.

Another new series, “Living History,” premieres July 2 at 7 p.m. and will preserve the stories of influential Arkansans through interviews and archival footage. The first episode features former Governor Asa Hutchinson.

Beginning July 3, Arkansas TV’s long-running public affairs program “Arkansas Week” will expand from 30 minutes to a full hour, providing more in-depth conversations on politics, education, health care, the economy, and current events.

Additional new programs include “A Braver Arkansas” on July 7, “Arkansas Taste Kitchen” on July 9, “Arkansas Talks Health” on July 15, and Season 5 of the educational children’s series “Blueberry’s Clubhouse” on July 26.

Viewers can find programming schedules, livestreams, and on-demand content through Arkansas TV’s website and digital platforms.
