Maggie Milligan Appointed Strategist for Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine in Cabot Arkansas

Lyon College has announced the appointment of Maggie Milligan as strategist for the Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine as the institution continues development of its new veterinary education program in Cabot Arkansas.

Milligan brings more than 20 years of leadership and strategic planning experience to the position. In her new role, she will help support accreditation efforts, strengthen partnerships with communities across Arkansas and establish long-term strategic objectives as the school prepares to welcome its first class of students.

Milligan has led Milligan Management Services for more than 2 decades, providing strategic management and administrative support to nonprofit associations. She has also worked extensively with the Arkansas veterinary community through her longtime service with the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association.

Currently serving as executive director of the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Foundation, Milligan oversees initiatives supporting veterinary education, professional development and research across Arkansas.

Dr. Carolyn Henry, dean of the Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine, said Milligan’s experience and relationships across the veterinary profession will help strengthen the school as it moves forward with accreditation and future student enrollment plans.

Milligan said she looks forward to helping establish a strong educational foundation for future veterinary professionals while addressing workforce needs throughout Arkansas and the region.

The Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine is continuing plans to provide innovative veterinary education, hands-on learning opportunities and community-focused training for future veterinarians.
