Bald Knob School District officials announced Wednesday that a lockdown at district campuses has been lifted after authorities determined a reported threat was part of similar threats made to schools across multiple states.
Superintendent Dr. Davis addressed parents and community members, saying authorities believe the threat was not an active threat against Bald Knob Schools.
District officials stated parents may still check students out if they choose, while asking for patience due to increased activity at campuses. Officials also noted front office staff would not immediately release additional information.
A heavy police presence will remain at all campuses as a precautionary measure.
