The Arkansas State Police Interstate Criminal Patrol (ICP) has received top honors at the Gulf Coast High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Awards held April 28, 2026.

The ICP unit was named 2025 Agency of the Year after leading the region in major narcotics seizures, including 1,154 pounds of methamphetamine, 750 pounds of cocaine, 127 pounds of fentanyl, and 17,700 pounds of marijuana. Troopers also confiscated weapons and vehicles linked to criminal activity.
Corporal Chris Short earned Officer of the Year, with seizures totaling more than $12 million in estimated street value.
Colonel Mike Hagar praised the team’s efforts, highlighting their role in removing dangerous drugs and improving safety across Arkansas and the Gulf Coast region.
