Leaders in Sharp County and Independence County have officially proclaimed May 2026 as a Month of Prayer for Foster Care Awareness. The proclamations were issued by Mark Counts and Kevin B. Jeffery in partnership with The CALL.
The initiative invites churches, families, and individuals to pray for children in foster care, along with foster families, biological families, and caseworkers. Organizers say the goal is to raise awareness and encourage community involvement.
Officials emphasize the importance of unity, compassion, and faith in supporting vulnerable children. The CALL continues working with state agencies to recruit and support foster and adoptive families across the region.
