High winds and dry conditions are increasing wildfire concerns across the state, prompting several counties in Central and North Central Arkansas to issue burn bans.

Independence County, White County, Woodruff County, and Perry County are currently under burn bans as officials work to reduce the risk of fast spreading fires.
According to the Arkansas Department of Agriculture, the entire state remains under a moderate wildfire risk. Officials say even small sparks can quickly grow into dangerous fires under current conditions.
Residents are urged to avoid outdoor burning and use caution with equipment or activities that could ignite a fire.
Authorities will continue monitoring weather conditions and may adjust restrictions as needed.
