A fatal crash on Interstate 57 in Jackson County Arkansas has claimed the life of a Northeast Arkansas man and left another person injured.
According to the Arkansas State Police, the crash occurred April 7, 2026, at approximately 8:15 PM on northbound I-57 at the river bridge.
Authorities identified the victim as 49 year old David Roberts of Bono Arkansas. He was the driver of a 2026 Buick Encore involved in the crash. A passenger, 49 year old Angela Roberts of Bono Arkansas, was injured and transported to UAMS for treatment.
Investigators say the vehicle left the roadway, struck a fence, became airborne, and then hit the ground, causing it to roll.
Weather and road conditions were reported as clear at the time of the crash.
The body is being held at Jackson’s Funeral Home. The crash remains under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
