Fatal Crash in Cleburne County Arkansas Claims 1 Life After Vehicle Overturns

A tragic single-vehicle crash in rural Cleburne County Arkansas has left 1 man dead and another injured following a wreck on April 4, 2026.

According to the Arkansas State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 10:37 a.m. on State Highway 124 during rainy and wet road conditions.

🌧️ Driver Lost Control on Curve

Investigators say Dylan McElroy, 26, of Searcy Arkansas, was traveling northbound when he lost control of a 1996 Dodge while navigating a curve.

The vehicle left the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned.

🚑 Both Occupants Transported to Hospital

McElroy and his passenger, Levi Scott, 26, of Heber Springs Arkansas, were both injured in the crash and transported to Baptist Health Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities later confirmed that McElroy died from his injuries after being transferred to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock Arkansas.

⚠️ Wet Road Conditions Contributed to Crash

Officials noted that rain and wet road conditions were present at the time of the accident, which may have contributed to the driver losing control.

The crash remains under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
