The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Greers Ferry Lake and the Greers Ferry Lake and Little Red River Tourism Association are seeking volunteers for the 57th Annual Greers Ferry Lake and Little Red River Cleanup.

The cleanup will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026, at locations around Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River.
The annual event gives residents, community organizations, businesses, churches, students and visitors an opportunity to help protect one of Arkansas’ most popular outdoor recreation areas.
Volunteers planning to participate are asked to report their intended cleanup locations to the Greers Ferry Lake Project Office by calling 501-362-2416.
Trash bags and other cleanup supplies will be available at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park gatehouses around the lake.

Volunteers should place collected trash in bags and take the bagged trash to a dumpster located inside one of the participating parks.
Day-use fees will be waived for volunteers participating on the day of the cleanup.
Organizers are also reminding participants to make safety a priority. Anyone working on or near the water should always wear a properly fitted life jacket.
The Greers Ferry Lake and Little Red River Cleanup has become a longstanding community tradition, bringing volunteers together to remove litter and help preserve the area’s natural beauty, wildlife habitat and recreational resources.
The 2026 event marks the 57th year of the annual cleanup.
