The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program will host a National Register of Historic Places training on April 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Little Rock.

The training will take place at the Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism Headquarters, 1100 North Street, and will provide participants with an in-depth look at how properties are evaluated and listed on the National Register.

Officials say the National Register is the country’s official list of historic resources worthy of preservation and can help unlock financial incentives such as grants and tax credits.

Attendees will learn what it means for a property to be listed and how to complete a nomination form.

The session is limited to 20 participants. To register, contact the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program at 501-324-9787 or by email.

The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program is part of Arkansas Heritage, which works to identify, preserve, and promote the state’s cultural resources.
