10 Arkansas Counties in the Region Under Burn Ban March 23, 2026 UPDATED

, , Leave a comment

Officials have issued burn bans across 10 counties in Arkansas as dry conditions continue to increase the risk of wildfires across the region.

The counties currently under burn bans in the region include:
Cleburne County Arkansas, Faulkner, Fulton County Arkansas, Independence County Arkansas, Izard County Arkansas, Jackson County Arkansas, Searcy County Arkansas, Sharp County Arkansas, Van Buren County Arkansas, and White County Arkansas.

Local leaders say the bans are a precautionary measure to prevent uncontrolled fires as conditions remain dry and winds increase the potential for rapid fire spread.

Under a burn ban, residents are prohibited from outdoor burning, including debris burning, brush piles, and other open flames that could quickly get out of control.

Emergency officials urge residents to follow all restrictions and remain cautious, as even small fires can escalate quickly under current conditions.

Authorities will continue to monitor weather patterns and moisture levels before lifting the bans. Residents are encouraged to stay updated through local emergency management and county officials.
