A major coordinated law enforcement effort has led to dozens of arrests and the clearing of multiple serious charges across the region.

The United States Marshals Service Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force (EATF), working alongside federal, state, and local partners, successfully completed Operation Steel Resolve, a targeted fugitive enforcement operation conducted from March 9 through March 13, 2026.
The operation focused on locating and apprehending violent offenders and high-risk fugitives with outstanding warrants in communities across Northeast Arkansas.
Key Results from Operation Steel Resolve:
24 fugitives arrested
66 warrants cleared
Authorities say the cleared warrants included a number of serious offenses:
6 homicide-related charges
23 aggravated assault and battery charges
2 sexual assault charges
7 firearm-related offenses
6 drug-related offenses
22 additional felony and misdemeanor charges
Acting United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Arkansas, Cory Harris, praised the efforts of the task force and partner agencies.
“These results reflect the unwavering commitment of our task force and partner agencies to pursue those who pose the greatest threat to our communities,” Harris said. “Operations like Steel Resolve send a clear message—violent offenders will be found and brought to justice.”
The Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force includes deputy U.S. marshals and officers from multiple agencies working together to track down and apprehend fugitives throughout the district.
Officials say operations like this are critical in enhancing public safety and supporting local law enforcement efforts across the region.
