A new Texas Hold ’Em League has been approved in Fairfield Bay, and organizers are inviting community members to help shape the league during an upcoming organizational meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lion’s Club Building, also known as the Lion’s Den Entertainment Center. Participants will review the proposed league format, discuss sponsor-provided nightly prizes and awards, and coordinate logistics ahead of the official launch.

Organizers say the Fairfield Bay Texas Hold ’Em League will operate in full compliance with Arkansas law. Play will be free-play and points-based, not gambling. No wagering or cash prizes will be allowed. Players will not pay to participate in poker games, but a facility and entertainment fee will be charged for use of the venue.

The tentative start date for league play is Thursday, March 5 at 7:00 p.m., also at the Lion’s Den.

Community members interested in participating or learning more are encouraged to attend the meeting or call 501-757-9352 for additional details.
