The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the England Police Department and the Arkansas State Police Crime Against Children Division, has arrested Trent Morgan, assistant principal at England High School, on charges of rape and sexual assault.
The arrest follows an investigation into allegations that Morgan engaged in sexual misconduct with a juvenile student.
Superintendent Dr. Judy Hubell noted that England schools are on a four-day week and did not have classes today. She confirmed that law enforcement coordinated with the district at the time of the arrest and that the school will operate as usual tomorrow, with counselors available for students.
Morgan has been placed on administrative leave while authorities continue their investigation.
