Great Turnout for the 43rd Annual BeanFest & Great Championship Outhouse Race in Mountain View!

What a weekend in Mountain View! The 43rd Annual BeanFest and Great Championship Outhouse Race was a huge success, drawing visitors from all across Arkansas and beyond. Families packed the Mountain View Square to enjoy a full day of food, fun, and small-town entertainment in the heart of the Ozarks.

Guests were treated to free beans and cornbread, local arts and crafts, and live music throughout the day. The highlight of the festival — the Great Championship Outhouse Races — had everyone cheering as creatively decorated “outhouses on wheels” sped down the streets, emceed by the always-entertaining Bob Connell.

More than 6,000 bowls of beans and cornbread were served during the event, adding to the festival’s long-standing tradition of community togetherness and homegrown fun.

A special shoutout goes to bean cook-off winner Daniel Andrews!

“Big thanks goes out to the many volunteers who made this year’s BeanFest possible” said this years Mountain View Chamber President Janell Wallace, “Including Barbara Cole and the local school team who cooked all the cornbread.”

Organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, led by new director Carrie Mont and assistant director April May, along with the entire festival board for their hard work and dedication to keeping this Arkansas tradition thriving.

As one of the most beloved Arkansas fall festivals, BeanFest continues to capture the spirit of the Ozarks — laughter, food, music, and good old-fashioned competition.
