Over 200 Stolen Custom Knives Recovered by Van Buren County Sheriff’s Investigator

Van Buren County Sheriff Eric Koonce announced that Sheriff’s Investigator Billy Thomas successfully recovered more than 200 custom-made knives valued at over $21,000. The knives were reported stolen by vendor Craig Wood during this year’s National Championship Chuckwagon Races in Clinton, Arkansas.

Following an in-depth investigation, the stolen items were located at the home of a young male suspect in Jacksonville, Arkansas. The recovery marks a significant success for the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office in protecting local residents and vendors from property crimes.

According to Sheriff Koonce, charges are pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation and a prosecutorial review.

The recovered knives will be returned to their rightful owner as the investigation continues.
