Arkansas State University-Beebe has introduced a new online tuition calculator and a simplified 3-tier tuition model designed to help students and families better understand the cost of attending college beginning with the Fall 2026 semester.
The new calculator is featured in the college’s 2026-2027 Viewbook and allows prospective students to estimate tuition based on the courses they plan to take. ASU-Beebe officials say the updated model improves transparency while continuing the college’s commitment to affordability.
Michelle Gray, Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, says the calculator gives students a clearer picture of tuition costs based on their academic pathway, helping families make informed financial decisions before enrolling.
Beginning this fall, tuition will be divided into 3 categories based on the instructional resources required for each course.
Tier 1 courses, including most general education classes such as English, history and mathematics, will cost $145 per credit hour.
Tier 2 courses requiring laboratory components, including many science, music and theatre classes, will cost $165 per credit hour.
Tier 3 courses requiring specialized equipment or extensive hands-on instruction, including welding, Emergency Medical Services and Veterinary Technology, will cost $185 per credit hour.
The calculator includes sample tuition estimates for different academic pathways, including students pursuing general education and career-focused technical programs.
ASU-Beebe says the updated pricing structure better reflects the cost of delivering specialized instruction while keeping tuition competitive.
Fall 2026 classes begin Monday, August 17. Registration information is available through the Advising and Learning Center by calling (501) 882-8867.
The college serves students at campuses in Beebe, Searcy, Heber Springs and Little Rock Air Force Base.
