The Town of Russell is preparing to launch a new community bicycle program designed to provide healthy, fun activities for children, families and residents.
Town officials announced bicycles are expected to arrive in about 2 weeks, marking another step toward expanding family-friendly recreation opportunities throughout the community.
To help ensure riders stay safe, the town is asking residents and supporters to donate new or gently used bicycle helmets in all sizes, including children’s, youth and adult helmets.
Anyone wishing to donate a helmet is encouraged to contact Russell City Hall at 501-724-5696.
Town leaders say the new bicycle program reflects their commitment to building a stronger, healthier community under the motto, “Small Town—Strong Community.”
