Drivers traveling through Cabot should prepare for traffic delays Friday as Union Pacific closes the railroad crossing at Pine Street and Highway 89.
City officials announced the main 4-lane railroad crossing will be closed from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, while work is completed in the area.
The closure is expected to cause congestion on nearby streets, and motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time and use alternate routes whenever possible.
Drivers should watch for traffic control devices and use caution while traveling through surrounding neighborhoods.
