A 75-year-old woman from Cherokee Village Arkansas died following a 2-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Sharp County Arkansas.
According to the Arkansas State Police, the crash happened at approximately 2:23 PM on May 22, 2026, at the intersection of US Highway 62 and State Highway 175 near Hardy Arkansas.
Investigators identified the victim as Emma S. Baumann, 75, of Cherokee Village Arkansas. Authorities said Baumann was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger northbound on State Highway 175 when she reportedly pulled into the path of a westbound 2024 Ford F250 traveling on US Highway 62.
The Arkansas State Police report states the Ford F250 struck the Ford Ranger. Baumann was pronounced dead following the collision.
Troopers reported cloudy weather and wet road conditions at the time of the crash. No other injuries were listed in the report.
The crash remains under investigation by Corporal Moye E. Hawkins with the Arkansas State Police.
