Lyon College will celebrate the release of the spring 2026 issue of its student literary magazine, The Wheelbarrow, with a public launch party on Friday, May 1 at 4:00 PM.

The event will take place inside the Bevens Music Room at the Brown Fine Arts Building on campus in Batesville and is open to the public.
Hosted by the Sigma Tau Delta Eta Lambda Chapter, the student-run publication highlights original visual and written works from Lyon College students.
Organizers say the event will give attendees a chance to meet contributors, connect with staff, and experience the creative talent shaping this year’s publication.
Executive Director Cari Meeks says the magazine represents a powerful outlet for student voices and creativity, while faculty adviser Dr Melissa Merte praised the high level of talent featured in the issue.
The launch party will celebrate both the publication and the collaborative effort behind it, highlighting the artistic contributions of the Lyon College community.
