New PEOPLE: Governor Orders Major Shakeup In Little Rock

Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced a series of new appointments and reappointments to Arkansas boards and commissions, impacting several communities across the ArkansasRadio.com region.

Regional appointments include:

Bob Connell of Searcy was appointed to the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2031. Connell replaces Deborah Hoofman.

Tyler Griffin of Batesville was appointed to the State Parks, Recreation, and Travel Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2032. Griffin replaces Bob Connell, who was appointed to the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission.

John Allison of Conway was reappointed to the Arkansas State Police Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2033. Allison was also reappointed to the Board of Trustees of the State Police Retirement System, with a term expiring July 1, 2031.

Jennifer James of Newport was appointed to the Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board, with a term expiring June 30, 2027. James replaces Jeff Rutledge.

Terry Fiddler of Conway was reappointed to the Board of Trustees of the University of Central Arkansas, with a term expiring January 14, 2033.

Paula Steinsiek of Sherwood was reappointed to the Crime Victims Reparations Board, with a term expiring October 5, 2028.

Heather Maxey of Mountain Home was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas State University System, with a term expiring January 14, 2033. Maxey replaces James Eddington.

Andrea Lea of Russellville was appointed to the Board of Trustees of Arkansas Tech University, with a term expiring January 14, 2031. Lea replaces Bill Clary.

Luke Heffley of Russellville was reappointed to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission, with a term expiring December 31, 2028.

Johnny Brazil of Russellville was appointed to the State Parks, Recreation, and Travel Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2032. Brazil replaces Blair Allen.

Stewart Hornor of Stuttgart was appointed to the State Parks, Recreation, and Travel Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2032. Hornor replaces Molly Jackson.

Harvey Williams of Marianna was appointed to the State Parks, Recreation, and Travel Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2030. Williams fills a previously vacant position.

 

Other appointments include:

Alex Blass of Rogers was reappointed to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, with a term expiring January 14, 2032.

Lance McAlindon of Centerton was appointed to the Arkansas Economic Development Council, with a term expiring January 14, 2030. McAlindon replaces James Smith.

Ray Dillon of Little Rock was reappointed to the Arkansas Forestry Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2031.

Martin Smith of Cherry Valley was appointed to the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2035. Smith replaces Lucien Gillham.

Suzett Sparks of Rogers was appointed to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission, with a term expiring December 31, 2028. Sparks replaces Jerry Halsey.

Nick Ortiz of Little Rock was appointed to the Arkansas State Board of Acupuncture and Related Techniques, with a term expiring July 31, 2028. Ortiz replaces Wendy Poole.

Michael Sims of Fayetteville was reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Acupuncture and Related Techniques, with a term expiring July 31, 2026.

Zach Beavers of Winslow was appointed to the Arkansas State Board of Acupuncture and Related Techniques, with a term expiring July 31, 2027. Beavers fills a previously vacant position.

Brian Bozza of Hensley was appointed to the Auctioneers Licensing Board, with a term expiring April 15, 2030. Bozza fills a previously vacant position.

Joseph Wood of Little Rock was reappointed to the Black History Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2033.

Muskie Harris of Little Rock was appointed to the Black History Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2032. Harris fills a previously vacant position.

Joe Pieratt of Magnolia was appointed to the Board of Trustees of Southern Arkansas University, with a term expiring January 14, 2031. Pieratt replaces Proctor Evers.

Kyle Lane of Paragould was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the State Police Retirement System, with a term expiring July 1, 2028. Lane fills a previously vacant position.

Vincent France of Little Rock was appointed to the Crime Victims Reparations Board, with a term expiring October 5, 2029. France fills a previously vacant position.

Courtney Little of Little Rock was appointed to the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2032. Little fills a previously vacant position.

Holly Wyman of Little Rock was appointed to the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2031. Wyman fills a previously vacant position.

Allyson De La Houssaye of Bentonville was appointed to the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2030. De La Houssaye fills a previously vacant position.

Michael Sacomani of Benton was appointed to the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission, with a term expiring January 14, 2031. Sacomani fills a previously vacant position.

Justin Craft of Bono was reappointed to the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board, with a term expiring January 14, 2028.

Barry LaFarlette of Jonesboro was appointed to the State Banking Board, with a term expiring December 31, 2030. LaFarlette replaces Randy Scott.

Ricky Bryant of North Little Rock was reappointed to the State Board of Barber Examiners, with a term expiring June 30, 2031.

Lee Morris of Little Rock was appointed to the State Board of Barber Examiners, with a term expiring June 30, 2027. Morris fills a previously vacant position.

David Medders of Crossett was reappointed to the State Board of Embalmers, Funeral Directors, Cemeteries, and Burial Services, with a term expiring July 1, 2030.

Shane West of Springdale was appointed to the State Plant Board, with a term expiring August 15, 2028. West fills a previously vacant position.

Lucas Pointer of Bentonville was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 15 on the Benton County Quorum Court, with a term expiring December 31, 2026. Pointer fulfills the remaining term of Joel Edwards.

Gary Capcik of Holiday Island was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 1 on the Carroll County Quorum Court, with a term expiring December 31, 2026. Capcik fulfills the remaining term of Stuart Bruce Wright.

Jack Deaton of Eureka Springs was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 2 on the Carroll County Quorum Court, with a term expiring December 31, 2026. Deaton fulfills the remaining term of David Blakenship.

Patrick Berry of Rison was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 6 on the Cleveland County Quorum Court, with a term expiring December 31, 2026. Berry fulfills the remaining term of Owen Rushing.

David Allen Binns of McGehee was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 9 on the Desha County Quorum Court, with a term expiring December 31, 2026. Binns fulfills the remaining term of Norris Sims.

Sherrie Sanders of Ozark was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 4 on the Franklin County Quorum Court, with a term expiring December 31, 2026. Sanders fills a previously vacant position.

Ty Whisenhunt of Mount Ida was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 5 on the Montgomery County Quorum Court, with a term expiring December 31, 2026. Whisenhunt fulfills the remaining term of Kenn Green.

Tim Erwin of Lockesburg was appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 9 on the Sevier County Quorum Court, with a term expiring December 31, 2026. Erwin fulfills the remaining term of Allan Gregory Wright.
