A 2.1 magnitude earthquake occurred 18 km from Cave City, Arkansas.

The event took place at 10:24 AM UTC on Thursday, November 28, 2024, which translates to 4:24 AM CST locally.

The magnitude was measured using the ‘md’ type.

The USGS has identified the quake’s location as 6 km SSW of Strawberry, Arkansas. The event happened near Batesville, Arkansas.

This event has been reviewed and confirmed by a seismologist.

A 2.1 magnitude earthquake, which is usually a rare occurrence for Cave City, Arkansas, took place on November 15, 2024. The quake, happening at 1:44 PM CST, was minor with expected minimal impact.
