Terry Chandler, 77, was booked into the Independence County jail on October 7, 2026, by the Independence County Sheriff’s Department on charges of rape and second-degree sexual assault.

Prosecutors say Chandler is accused of raping an individual. The complaint alleges that the alleged assault occurred without consent.
