The community was rattled by a recent traffic incident that drew a rapid response from local emergency crews.

A two‑vehicle crash on Highway 9 south near the Conway‑Perry county line resulted in only minor injuries, with police investigating the cause and local fire and police crews managing traffic.

A two‑vehicle collision occurred on Highway 9 south, just inside the Conway‑Perry county line, with both cars traveling southbound. The incident was reported to the Conway County Fire Department. Details beyond the location have not been released.

One occupant was examined at the scene by Med‑Tech EMS, but the person declined further treatment and was not taken to a hospital. No additional injuries were reported. All other occupants were unharmed.

Arkansas State Police have taken over the investigation into the crash’s cause. Oppleo Fire and Police units assisted with traffic control while the scene was secured. Their presence helped keep the highway clear for other motorists.
