It Finally Happened: One Way Traffic Begins in Jonesboro

Residents of Jonesboro are feeling the buzz as traffic patterns shift in a key city park.

Starting September 19, the City of Jonesboro will change traffic flow at Joe Mack Campbell Park, making the entrance on Harry Drive one-way in and the exit onto Dan Avenue one-way out, with normal two-way flow inside the park.

The new pattern takes effect on September 19. Vehicles will enter the park via Harry Drive and must exit onto Dan Avenue. Inside the park, traffic will return to two‑way.

The notice was posted by the Jonesboro Parks & Recreation department. The City of Jonesboro, AR – Government shared the update on its website. No further details on enforcement have been provided.

The park also hosts youth sports programs. Organizers say they will adjust activities to accommodate the change. It is not yet known how the new flow will affect game schedules.

Signage indicating ‘ENTER’ and ‘EXIT’ will be installed at the respective streets. Drivers are asked to follow the signs. No additional road closures have been announced.
