The Unity Health Auxiliary has announced one of the largest gifts in its history, committing $739,235 to the Unity Health Foundation’s Start Strong, Stay Strong Campaign.

The gift will benefit 3 major healthcare initiatives: the Adolescent Recovery and Wellness Center, the Pyeatt Family Cancer Center and the First Security Bank New Life Center.
The campaign is designed to strengthen healthcare services for patients and families throughout Unity Health’s service area.
In addition to its $739,235 commitment, the Auxiliary established a $200,000 matching gift challenge. Qualifying contributions made to the campaign are currently being matched dollar-for-dollar, allowing donors to double the effect of their gifts.
For every qualifying $1 contributed, another $1 will be added through the matching challenge.

The Auxiliary has supported Unity Health programs for decades. Since 1996, its volunteers have contributed more than $2 million toward programs, equipment and facilities.
The organization’s work extends beyond financial contributions. Auxiliary members volunteer at hospital information desks, operate gift shops and assist patients, visitors and healthcare employees.
The Unity Health Auxiliary was named the 2025 Association of Fundraising Professionals Arkansas Chapter Fundraising Volunteer Group of the Year.
In a social media message, Auxiliary President Dennis Nelson highlighted the importance of personal connection, saying sometimes people simply need a conversation to know they have been heard and are not alone.
