A shooting investigation in Stone County has resulted in the arrest of 2 people following an incident Sunday evening that left 1 man hospitalized.

According to the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, to the 900 block of Piney Road after receiving a report of a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was flown by medical helicopter to a Little Rock hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
Stone County Detectives responded to the scene and executed a search warrant at the residence, interviewed witnesses, and collected evidence as part of the investigation.
Following the investigation, Christina Folden, 51, of Shirley, was arrested and charged with:
Domestic Battery – First Degree
Unlawful Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Johnathan Pipkin, 31, of Shirley, was arrested and charged with:
Aggravated Assault
Terroristic Threatening – First Degree
Tampering with Physical Evidence
Unlawful Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
Both suspects are being held at the Stone County Detention Center awaiting bond hearings.
Sheriff Brandon Long said the investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional charges may be filed, and existing charges could be amended pending completion of the investigation and review by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
