Children’s Advocacy Center of Independence County will host a community open house and ribbon cutting ceremony Friday, May 22, in Batesville.

The event will take place from 12 PM until 2 PM at the center located at 510 East Boswell Street.
Organizers say the ribbon cutting and featured speakers will begin at 12 PM, followed by guided tours and opportunities for community members to meet staff and learn more about services provided to child abuse victims and their families.
Light refreshments will also be served during the event.
The Children’s Advocacy Center says the organization’s mission is “To Empower, Protect, and Heal victims of child abuse.”
