A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for all customers served by the Pangburn Water System following weather-related impacts that have affected river water quality.
Officials say elevated turbidity levels, caused by recent weather conditions, have made the water potentially unsafe for direct consumption without proper treatment.
As a safety precaution, residents are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, or food preparation. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute before use.
The notice will remain in effect until testing confirms the water system meets safe drinking standards. Residents will be notified once the order is lifted.
