A longtime local business owner is being recognized for decades of dedication to the community.

The City of Searcy has officially proclaimed April 30 as Mr. James Haney Day, honoring his 42 years of faithful service through Haney’s Conoco Full Service Stations. Mayor Mat Faulkner made the announcement, recognizing both Mr. Haney and his wife, Pat, for their lasting impact on the community.

For more than 4 decades, the Haneys built more than a business—they built relationships. Known for friendly service and a commitment to customers, Haney’s Conoco became a trusted neighborhood staple in Searcy.

City leaders say the recognition reflects not only business success, but a lifetime of friendship, service, and community involvement.

As they enter retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Haney plan to spend time on their cattle farm, marking a new chapter after decades of serving the public.

The community extends its gratitude and best wishes as they step into this well-earned retirement.
