U.S. Senator John Boozman of Arkansas has been recognized for his commitment to supporting military families, receiving the 2026 Colonel Arthur T. Marix Congressional Leadership Award from the Military Officers Association of America.

The award honors Boozman’s bipartisan leadership in advancing policies that improve the quality of life for military spouses and families. During the presentation, Boozman reflected on his upbringing in a military family and emphasized the sacrifices made by loved ones of servicemembers.
Boozman has been a strong advocate for the Military Spouse Hiring Act, legislation aimed at expanding the Work Opportunity Tax Credit program to include military spouses, helping address higher unemployment rates caused by frequent relocations.
Military Officers Association of America President and CEO Lt. Gen. Brian Kelly praised Boozman’s leadership, noting his dedication to expanding employment opportunities and recognition for military spouses.
In addition to his legislative efforts, Boozman serves on key Senate committees, including panels that oversee funding for the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
The Military Officers Association of America is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization representing more than 350,000 members who advocate for servicemembers, veterans, and their families.
