The check presentation was held at the new Woodruff County welcome sign located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 64 and Walnut Street, marking a significant milestone for the county.

Funds raised through the annual Mallard Masters Championship will be split evenly, with $100,000 dedicated to economic development initiatives and $100,000 allocated for scholarships benefiting Woodruff County students.

Woodruff County Judge Michael-John Gray praised the effort, noting the funds will help promote tourism, strengthen infrastructure, and support long-term growth across the county.

Organizers say the Mallard Masters Championship has grown into more than a duck hunting event, bringing together the community for competition, entertainment, and philanthropy.

The event continues to highlight the region’s hunting heritage while reinvesting in education, workforce development, and sustainable economic progress.

The Mallard Masters Championship is set to return on January 16, 2027, in Augusta Arkansas.
