A new partnership between Arkansas State Parks and the USDA Forest Service will ensure continued public access to Blanchard Springs Caverns during the 2026 season.

Under the cooperative agreement, Arkansas State Parks will assist with seasonal operations including guided tours, staffing, and visitor services, while the USDA Forest Service will maintain oversight.
Guided cavern tours are scheduled to begin May 1 2026 and will run through October. Reservations for the popular Dripstone Tour are open now, with additional tours available based on demand. Discovery Trail Tours will open after Memorial Day.
Campgrounds and day use facilities will also open for reservations, while individual campsites will be first come first served starting May 1. The Visitor Center and caverns will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Officials say the partnership ensures access while long term improvements are planned, with a full reopening expected in 2028.
