First Community Bank has announced that Sandy Starnes has joined the organization as Senior Vice President and Director of Branch Development.

The announcement was made on April 9, 2026, as the bank continues to expand its footprint across Arkansas.
In her new role, Starnes will work closely with executive leadership to support branch expansion strategy and lead initiatives focused on developing new and existing locations. Officials say she will play a key role in ensuring each branch reflects the bank’s commitment to service, efficiency, and community engagement.
Starnes brings 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong background in community banking. She is actively involved in industry and community organizations, including advisory roles with the American Bankers Association Professional Development Council and BankOn Arkansas.
She has also been a longtime supporter of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, focusing on economic development and education initiatives in the region.
“Community banking is what I know and love,” Starnes said. “I’m honored to join a team that cares deeply about the communities it serves and to help expand that impact across the state.”
Michelle Reesor, Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, said Starnes brings valuable leadership and strategic insight to the bank’s growth efforts.
“Sandy brings a deep understanding of community banking and a thoughtful approach to branch development,” Reesor said. “Her experience and passion for serving others make her a great addition as we continue to expand.”
Starnes and her family live in the Batesville Arkansas area. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Officials say the addition of Starnes reflects First Community Bank’s continued investment in growth and community-focused banking across Arkansas.
