The Cave City community is celebrating a major honor as Brandi Schulz, director of the Cave City Area Chamber of Commerce, has been featured in Arkansas Money & Politics as one of the 2025 AMP Power Women. The recognition highlights influential women across Arkansas who are making a significant impact through leadership, innovation, and service.

In her AMP profile, Schulz reflects on a defining moment in her career — the aftermath of the EF3 tornado that struck Cave City earlier this year. Standing amid the destruction, she says she realized how deeply she loved her community and felt called to help lead its renewal. Schulz guided early recovery efforts while simultaneously launching the newly formed chamber’s membership drive and revitalizing the Heart of Cave City Main Street program.

Schulz credits her photography career for shaping her approach to community development, saying it taught her to “see people deeply” and understand the stories that bind a community together. She also cited author Brené Brown as an inspiration, especially Brown’s blend of vulnerability and leadership.

One quote that motivates Schulz is: “Overload isn’t failure; it’s feedback.” She says it helps her stay grounded during intense seasons of work and community rebuilding.

Area leaders say Schulz’s recognition reflects Cave City’s resilience and the strength of its people as they continue rebuilding together.

Cave City Mayor Jonas Anderson said, “When Brandy spoke with AMP, she shared how the tornado that struck Cave City became a defining moment for her — one that clarified her purpose and deepened her commitment to making this community stronger. That passion has been unmistakable. When she stepped in, the chamber had been dormant for years with no active members. Today, we’re proudly over 100 members in less than a year. Her leadership has sparked momentum we haven’t seen in a long time, and we’re incredibly thankful for the work she’s doing here. Brandy is part of a broader team of people who are deeply devoted to pushing Cave City forward. And honestly, everything she accomplished in 2025 is just the beginning. We expect even bigger things in the months and years ahead.”

Ben Johnson, CRO/CTO and General Manager of KVMN-FM Caveman Radio said, “Brandi has been an incredible example of what’s possible in a small town like Cave City. When someone has a real passion for their community and its people, it shows—and Brandi has shown it every step of the way.”

Bob Connell with ArkansasRadio.com said, “Brandi has done an outstanding job leading the Cave City Chamber. She’s part of what I call Cave City’s ‘Triple Play’—Mayor Jonas Anderson, Amy Finster with the Cave City Watermelon Festival, and Brandi Schulz. Their passion and dedication have taken Cave City to new heights.”
